On May 3, Doosan Yonkang Foundation (Chairman Yong Hyun Park) announced that it delivered 250 million won (about $220,000) in scholarships and 100 million won worth of books and supplies to 140 elementary and middle school students from multicultural backgrounds living in Seoul. This year, 104 elementary school students and 36 middle school students will receive 1.8 million won in scholarships for one year, along with workbooks, online classes and other learning materials which will be provided two times throughout the year. Since its establishment in 2010, a total of 800 elementary and middle school students from multicultural backgrounds have received scholarships, books and other supplies. Doosan Yonkang Foundation is Doosan Group’s scholarship and academic foundation that supports scholarship, academic and cultural programs.
