Doosan Bobcat announced on October 19 that its RogueX3 concept loader won the Red Dot Award: Design Concept, one of the world's three major design awards. This is the RogueX platform's second win, following the RogueX2 in 2024.

The RogueX3 is a fully electric loader that produces no exhaust emissions during operation. Equipped with high-precision positioning/navigation sensors and cameras, it enables sophisticated autonomous operation as well as remote control. It is also the first RogueX platform model to feature a modular design, allowing the wheel type, operator cab, and power unit to be swapped to suit the work environment.
The RogueX3's body structure also sets it apart from conventional compact loaders. Typical compact loaders use a hydraulic system at the front to drive attachments, whereas the RogueX3 places an electric drive unit at the rear of the machine. This widens the forward field of view and simplifies the structure, reducing the required number of parts by more than half while improving energy efficiency and ease of maintenance. The battery is integrated with the machine's frame, lowering the center of gravity and enhancing stability.
The design was recognized for a machine architecture optimized for electric and autonomous operation, addressing labor shortages and growing demand for eco-friendly equipment on construction sites.
“This award once again recognizes RogueX's innovation in pushing the boundaries of conventional industrial design and serving diverse work environments with a single machine,” said a Doosan Bobcat representative. “We will continue to develop equipment that improves ease of operation in response to rapidly changing user needs.”
The RogueX3 is a concept model that was first unveiled at CES 2026, the world's largest consumer electronics and IT trade show. Doosan Bobcat plans to apply the technology and design insights gained through the RogueX series to future product development.
