Doosan Group today announced an expanded collaboration with NVIDIA across physical AI, robotics and AI factory infrastructure to explore new business opportunities.
Doosan Group said it will broaden its collaboration with NVIDIA across its core businesses, including energy, advanced electronics materials and robotics. The collaboration reflects the close alignment between Doosan’s capabilities in intelligent robotics, power solutions and high-performance electronics materials and NVIDIA’s vision for AI factories.
The companies aim to connect Doosan Group’s products, technologies and manufacturing capabilities with NVIDIA’s accelerated computing and physical AI platforms.
Jeongwon Park, Chairman of Doosan Group said, “Building on our manufacturing capabilities developed over many decades, Doosan Group continues to advance technologies needed for the AI era across energy, robotics and advanced materials. Our collaboration with NVIDIA will help us explore new ways to apply AI across our businesses and identify new opportunities in the AI factory era.”
“Korea is a manufacturing center of the world, and physical AI is the next growth opportunity for industries that build, move and power the world,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “By combining NVIDIA DSX and physical AI with Doosan’s energy, robotics and advanced materials businesses, Doosan can unlock new growth across intelligent robots, autonomous industrial equipment and next-generation infrastructure for the AI era.”
Exploring Power Solutions for AI Factories
Doosan Group’s energy solutions — including gas turbines and small modular reactors, or SMRs, from Doosan Enerbility and hydrogen fuel cell systems from Doosan Fuel Cell — will support the NVIDIA DSX AI factory platform ecosystem for NVIDIA AI factories.
The companies plan to expand their collaboration across power supply design for AI factory deployments, optimization of power generation equipment and the evaluation of low-carbon energy sources.
Advancing Physical AI and Robotics
Doosan Robotics is developing an Agentic Robot OS integrating NVIDIA Isaac open libraries like Isaac Sim and Isaac Lab, open Cosmos world models, open-source Newton for physics simulation and Jetson Thor-based edge devices for on-robot control for high-value industrial tasks such as depalletizing and sanding. The integration will enable robots to more accurately perceive their environments, reason about tasks and execute actions autonomously through an Agentic Robot OS that connects perception, reasoning and simulation.
Doosan also plans to expand their robotics collaboration by integrating NVIDIA physical AI technologies into Doosan Bobcat equipment used across construction, landscaping, agriculture and material handling applications.
The collaboration is expected to accelerate the development of field-specialized World Models, enabling Doosan Bobcat’s equipment to perceive diverse operating environments, reason about changing conditions and autonomously perform tasks. These initiatives aim to help advance technology standards and contribute to the development of an ecosystem for compact autonomous equipment.
Supporting Next-Generation AI Data Center Infrastructure With Advanced PCB Materials
Doosan Corporation Electro-Materials BG will explore collaboration opportunities to support next-generation AI data center infrastructure, including systems built using the NVIDIA MGX platform for modular server design, through Copper Clad Laminate, or CCL, a key foundational material for printed circuit boards, or PCBs, used in NVIDIA AI infrastructure.
High-reliability CCLs are critical to the reliable operation of AI accelerators and demand for advanced CCLs is expected to grow alongside the expansion of AI data center infrastructure.
To increase production capacity, Doosan Corporation is building a new manufacturing facility in Thailand, with mass production scheduled to begin in 2028.
