Doosan Enerbility announced on April 21st that its Chief Strategy Officer and President Yongjin Song had been awarded the Commendation for Science and Technology by the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) at the 58th Science and ICT Day Ceremony in recognition of his contributions to the promotion and development of Korea’s science and technology.
The Science and ICT Day, which is celebrated on April 21st of every year, was designated for the purpose of promoting the development of science and technology and its widespread application, with a variety of events being held to support this objective.
The celebration includes an awards ceremony at which individuals from the science and technology field, who made notable achievements in this field, are awarded commendations. At the ceremony that day, the Minister of Science and ICT, Sang-im Yoo, attended the event and presented the government commendations (Science & Technology Commendations, Presidential Commendations, Prime Minister Commendations) to some 90 individuals.
In his role as head of corporate strategy, CSO Song has led the establishment of growth strategies befitting to a power generating equipment manufacturer such as Doosan Enerbility. The CSO is recognized for his contributions particularly in the areas of power plant components development, innovation of new materials and manufacturing and resource circulation.
“We aim to contribute to the advancement of science and technology through the development of sustainable energy technologies and by achieving the innovative convergence of technologies,” said CSO Song. “We seek to cultivate future talents and engage in global partnerships to achieve corporate growth.”
