Doosan announced on April 23 that its subsidiaries, Doosan Infracore and Doosan Bobcat, would participate in Intermat 2018, an international exhibition for construction and infrastructure, which will take place from April 23 to 28 at Paris Nord Villepinte, France, and display 50 types of products including the full lineup of the companies’ construction equipment, engines and portable power products.
At this year’s exhibition, Doosan Infracore will introduce the latest version of DoosanCONNECT, a telematics solution that it launched in the European market in 2014. During the trade show, Doosan Infracore will also demonstrate its product competitiveness with the DX 300 series, which was selected by EquipmentWatch, a U.S. company specializing in data-driven insights about heavy equipment, as the best mid-to-large-sized excavators in the area of maintenance.
Doosan Bobcat will unveil five models of its new R-series mini excavators in the two- to four-ton range. The R-series are compact excavators but offer significantly improved excavating capacity and high product functionality and operational convenience based on an ergonomic design.
Celebrating Doosan Infracore’s accumulated production of 400,000 units of construction equipment and Bobcat’s 60-year anniversary of launching its first compact loader, Doosan will hold commemorative events throughout the exhibition, including an auction and the donation of excavators, a display of initial models, and a cake-cutting ceremony.
“This year’s exhibition is a great opportunity to demonstrate the excellence of Doosan construction equipment once again,” said an official of Doosan. “We aim to increase our market share in advanced markets, including Europe, by developing products customized to meet the needs of customers in each region based on our cutting-edge technology and providing more sophisticated customer services.”
The Intermat is one of the world’s three largest construction equipment exhibitions along with ConExpo in the United States and Bauma in Germany. This year, Intermat is expected to host about 1,500 companies and more than 180,000 visitors from 167 countries.
