Doosan Group Chairman Jeongwon Park Delivers ‘Tea of Love’ to Front-line Unit
      2017-12-08
Instant coffee, money gifts presented to Korean Army’s Mount Baekdu unit during visit
Doosan Group Chairman Jeongwon Park visited soldiers of the Korean Army’s Mount Baekdu unit (ROK Army 21st Division) in Yang-gu, Gangwon Province, on Dec. 8, presenting 8,000 boxes of instant coffee sticks (20 servings per box) and monetary gifts as part of the “Tea of Love” campaign. Since 1991, Doosan has carried out the “Tea of Love” community involvement (CI) campaign every year with an intention to deliver warmth to soldiers serving on the front line, and has delivered 37.7 million servings of tea and coffee to soldiers at 360 military units. Furthermore, the company built an army library in 2010, donated a Doosan Bobcat® compact track loader (CTL), along with attachments, for snow removal in 2016, and more. Five Doosan affiliates, including Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction and Doosan Infracore, also plan to participate in the “Tea of Love” campaign to support other affiliated army units within this month.
Doosan Group Chairman Jeongwon Park (front row, third from left) and Maj. Gen. Byungtae Hwang (front row, fourth from left), the commanding officer of the Army’s 21st Division, are shown together with other officials after the “Tea of Love” event held on Dec. 8 at the Mount Baekdu unit base in Yang-gu, Gangwon Province.
