Doosan Group announced on Jan. 17 that it had completed the construction of the “Bundang Doosan Tower” located in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do. Affiliates have begun to move into the building, it said.
Some departments of Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction and Doosan Infracore will begin work at the Bundang Doosan Tower on Jan. 18, and affiliates such as Doosan Corp., Doosan Bobcat and Doosan Cuvex will follow suit one by one.
The Bundang Doosan Tower, built on an area of 8,943 square meters, has a total floor area of 128,550 square meters. The 119-meter-tall building has 27 stories above the ground and seven stories below the ground. It is divided into two buildings, the South Wing and the North Wing, with their upper parts connected by a skybridge.
The building provides employees with amenity facilities such as a child day care center, fitness center, employee cafeteria and auditorium, as well as collaboration spaces including a remote office and business center. A history museum introducing Doosan's past is located on the fourth floor of the South Wing.
"Communication between affiliates will be facilitated and work efficiency will be increased by gathering in one place major affiliates which had been scattered in different places," a Doosan official said. "We will also make efforts to contribute to the development of Seongnam City as a member of the local community."
