On April 10, Doosan Group (Chairman Jeongwon Park) pledged to donate 200 million won (about $176,000) to the Korea Disaster Relief Association to support the recovery of and assist those who have been affected by a massive forest fire that broke out in Gangwon Province, South Korea.
“We hope that our contribution would help the wildfire victims who have been affected by these unforeseen circumstances re-establish their lives as soon as possible,” said a Doosan official.
Doosan has provided construction equipment and financial aid to support recovery efforts after Indonesia’s earthquake in 2018, South Korea’s Pohang earthquake in 2017 and in other areas affected by natural disasters, including Nepal, the Philippines, Haiti, Japan, China and the United States.
