On Dec. 4, Doosan Group (Chairman Jeongwon Park) hosted its “Tea of Love” event at the Korean Army’s Mount Baekdu unit base (ROK Army 21st Division) in Yang-gu, Gangwon Province, and presented 8,000 boxes of instant coffee sticks and monetary gifts.
Since 1991, Doosan has carried out the “Tea of Love” community involvement (CI) campaign, one of Doosan’s oldest CI programs, every year with an intention to deliver warmth to soldiers serving on the front line. So far, 38.5 million servings of tea and coffee have been delivered to 360 military units.
Furthermore, the company built an army library in 2010, donated Doosan Bobcat equipment, along with attachments, to assist soldiers with snow removal in 2016 and early this year, and more.
Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction, Doosan Infracore and Doosan Engineering & Construction also plan to participate in the “Tea of Love” campaign to support other affiliated army units within this week.
