Doosan Group has announced that it hosted the Doosan Tech Forum 2018 at Chung-Ang University, Heukseok-dong, Seoul, on Aug. 23-24.
This year marks the forum’s sixth year since it was first held in 2013. Every year, the Doosan Tech Forum serves as a stage where Doosan Group’s R&D personnel share their latest research findings, facilitate technology exchanges and seek convergence opportunities.
This year, more than 1,000 employees from major Doosan affiliates—Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction, Doosan Infracore, Doosan Bobcat and Doosan Corporation’s business divisions—participated in the event. They are based in countries worldwide, including the U.S., U.K., Czech Republic, India, Vietnam and South Korea.
About 250 research papers were presented on the latest technology application cases related to digital transformation, smart factories, energy management systems and more. Afterward, those who presented outstanding research papers in 12 areas, including machinery, materials, and electrical and electronics, were awarded a plaque and prize money.
The forum also featured special lectures given by prominent guest speakers and a symposium on the latest industrial technology trends that are driven by artificial intelligence, 3D printing and 5G networks.
