Doosan Yonkang Foundation (Chairman Y.H. Park) announced on June 18 that it has delivered 800 million won (about $720,000) in scholarships this year to 400 students who effectively serve as the heads of their families or those from multicultural households.
Since 2006, the company has supported elementary and middle school students living in Seoul through its Doosan Dream Tree and Multicultural Family Support scholarship programs, and this is the first year for the company to reach out to students across the entire nation, including those in Gangwon and South Gyeongsang provinces.
So far, a total of 3,668 students have benefited from the scholarship programs.
