On Jan. 12, Doosan Yonkang Foundation (Chairman Yong Hyun Park) held a ceremony to commemorate the publication of a compilation of travel essays titled, “Finding an education toward the Fourth Industrial Revolution,” at Grand Ambassador Seoul, South Korea.
The 360-page book chronicles the accounts of 90 schoolteachers from elementary, middle and high schools who participated in an eight-day, seven-night economic tour program to industrial sites and related facilities in Korea and Japan (Fukuoka, Osaka and Nagoya) in June 2017.
“In order to nurture the future leaders of the Korean economy, teachers must be able to follow and be exposed to global economic trends,” said Chairman Park. “By offering them a chance to have a broader experience, I believe the program will help our teachers gain a greater insight into ways to nurture the next generation of Korea’s leaders.”
Since 1989, Doosan Yonkang Foundation has offered overseas academic tours to teachers recommended by metropolitan and provincial offices of education nationwide. A total of 2,467 teachers have participated in the program to date.
