Doosan Group announced on Aug. 22 that it will host the Doosan Tech Forum 2019 with more than 1,000 global R&D employees expected to attend, at Chung-Ang University in Heukseok-dong, Seoul, on Aug. 22-23.
For the seventh consecutive year, the Doosan Tech Forum has served as a stage where the R&D personnel of major Doosan affiliates—including Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction, Doosan Infracore, Doosan Bobcat and Doosan Corporation’s business divisions—gather from around the world and share their latest research findings, facilitate technology exchanges and seek convergence opportunities.
This year, 213 research papers will be submitted on the latest technology application cases related to digital transformation, smart factory, data analysis and usage, artificial intelligence, and more. The presentations will be made in eight separate areas, including machinery, materials, and electrical and electronics, and those who present outstanding papers will be awarded a plaque and prize money.
In his opening remarks, Doosan Group Vice Chairman Geewon Park said: “For continued growth, we need to put a high priority on securing products and technological competitiveness that are unaffected by the surrounding environment. At the Doosan Tech Forum, I hope that you will fully capitalize on this opportunity to enhance our technological competitiveness.”
The forum also will feature special lectures given by prominent guest speakers and a symposium on the latest industrial trends that are driven by autonomous driving, smart city, 5G networks and new materials.
