Vietnam

Doosan came to Vietnam in 1995 and has contributed to Vietnam’s economic development through efforts such as operating Doosan Vina, a plant manufacturing factory, and more. We have also promoted friendship and national benefits between Korea and Vietnam. As a result, Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction was able to join the Vietnam government project as a partner in 2011, assisting with the localization of the coal-fired power plant and construct a coal-fired power plant worth a total of 3 billon dollars.

In 1994, Doosan Infracore set up a production facility in Yantai, China, and recorded an average annual rate of growth of 32%. In 2011, it hit the first accumulative sale of 0.1 million excavators in China. Doosan Infracore, the leader in the China excavator market, is becoming the China’s top heavy equipment construction manufacturer by constructing the Yantai Yuha Machinery wheel loader factory in 2008 and Suzhou Factory in 2011.

Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction has been involved in many projects in Korea and overseas and its technical skills and price competiveness have been recognized worldwide. Winning the international bid for supplying a boiler for the Yeongheung Heat Power Plant in tough competition with other global experts, Doosan has won a 400 billion KRW agreement for the 870MW boiler 2.

As the global leader with 46% of global seawater desalination market share, Doosan desalination plants supply 1.7 million tons of desalinated water daily for about 6 million residents all over the Middle East region. The desalination plant in Huzaira, UAE provides enough water for daily consumption for approximately 1.1 million people. In addition, Doosan is constructing mega-sized Alsoaiba desalination plants in Saudi Arabia, twice the size of the Huzaira plant.

Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction manufactured and released the world’s biggest desalinated water evaporator with the dimensions (123m (length) x 33.7m (breadth) x 115m (height) of a football stadium, providing desalinated water for approximately 0.3 million people daily. The project period was drastically reduced by supplying the evaporator to the site completely assembled.
