The 20㎜ Vulcan naval gun system is installed and interfaced with the fire control system on the ship. It can destroy sea targets such as mines, torpedoes and ships as well as airplanes approaching at low altitude.
The Vulcan naval gun system consists of a gun barrel unit, operating unit, ammunition storage unit, and external protective unit. The external protective unit isolates the equipment and gunner from external forces to prevent the corrosion and damage of the equipment as well as to ensure the safety of the gunner. It consists of the bearing bundle, port seal bundle, and wiper bundle. The system can be operated and fired by the gunner.
